Perfect Remediation & Refurbishment has been awarded the contract for the remediation of the Mt Annan Leisure Centre by Camden Council. The scope of the works includes structural upgrades, stormwater upgrades, decorative bulkhead installation, structural steel remediation, and amenities upgrades. The project presents significant challenges, including working in a live environment while the pool leisure centre remains in operation, pressure from the local community, other operational areas within the large facility, and vertical access challenges over existing pool structures.

To address these challenges, Perfect Remediation has implemented a solution that involves staging the works over two stages to ensure that the leisure centre can remain partially operational. Public safety is of utmost importance, and the company is providing a safe delineation, close management, and collaboration with Camden Council, the YMCA, and all key stakeholders. The installation of temporary scaffolding, edge protection, and the use of EWP’s for all working at height works will also be used.

The expected outcomes of the project are to provide the facility with further structural and service longevity, repair all major roof leaks, provide general stormwater repair, control and maintenance plans, upgrade the interior of the leisure centre, and ensure that the facility continues to serve the local community for many more years.
