Safety Personnel
Remediation crews work at height, over water, in confined spaces and on assets that are still in use. The safety structure has to suit work that is spread out, often difficult to see from the ground, and frequently happening at night or in possession windows.
Competence sits with the crew. Rope access and EWP qualifications, confined space entry and standby, gas testing, and accreditation with the coating and repair systems being applied. Supervisors are people who have done the work rather than people reading from a plan.
On coating removal, the controls around lead and hazardous dust are supervised specifically, with containment checked, monitoring carried out and health surveillance in place. That is the part of our work with the greatest potential to harm somebody quietly over years rather than loudly in a moment.
The authority to stop work
Especially when the asset owner is waiting
Anyone on our crew can stop. Remediation work often sits inside a short possession or a shutdown window, and that pressure is exactly when shortcuts get considered. The person on the rope or in the chamber sees the problem first, so they are the person who needs the authority to act on it.
Working inside your safety system
Most of our work is for principal contractors and asset owners with their own systems, permits and reporting. We integrate rather than run parallel. Send the requirements at tender stage and we will tell you honestly what we can meet.
