Concrete cancer does not stop at the patch line
Reinforcement corrosion is a chemical process. By the time concrete is falling off, the chloride or carbonation that caused it has moved well past the visible damage, and a repair priced off what you can see will be back in a couple of years.
So we test first. Delamination survey, cover meter, carbonation depth and chloride sampling where it matters. Then the repair extent is based on what the testing found, and you get one honest price instead of a cheap one followed by variations.
Structural repair work
Break out to sound concrete, treat or replace the reinforcement, and rebuild with repair mortars matched to the structural demand and exposure. On beams, columns and soffits that carries engineering sign off, and where the element needs temporary support during the repair we design and install the propping.

When repair alone is not enough
Where chloride contamination is severe, patching is a losing game because the corrosion just moves next door. That is where cathodic protection earns its money: sacrificial anodes or impressed current systems that stop the electrochemistry rather than chasing it.
And where the structure has lost capacity, carbon fibre strengthening can restore it without the weight and disruption of steel plating. We will tell you which situation you are in, because they cost very different amounts.
Working on live assets
Most of this work happens on assets that cannot close: operating plants, trafficked car parks, occupied buildings. Staging, out of hours work and protected access are part of the methodology, not extras.
Worth knowing: We are a remediation contractor, not a strata patch and paint outfit. Our lane is industrial, infrastructure and commercial structures where the repair has to be engineered and documented.

Sydney is home base, and we travel nationally for industrial and infrastructure work: refineries, bridges, wharves, plants and mine sites.
Regional and remote work
We mobilise for site remediation anywhere in Australia on projects above $250,000. Regional Queensland, the Territory, Western Australia and remote sites are routine, not an exception. Under $250,000 in a regional area the mobilisation usually beats the saving, and we will say so.
Asbestos in soil is handled under our own Class A and Class B licences rather than subcontracted out. Our NSW EPA waste transport licence EPL 21796 covers Category 1 and Category 2 trackable waste, so classified material leaves site under our own tracking.
Questions we get asked
How do you work out the real extent of the damage?
Testing before pricing: delamination survey, cover meter, carbonation and chloride sampling where the exposure suggests it. The price is based on findings, not on the visible patches.
Do your repairs come with engineering?
Yes on structural elements. Methodology, propping design where needed, and sign off on the repair system.
What about balconies and strata blocks?
Generally not our lane. We focus on industrial, infrastructure and commercial assets. For a large strata structural program we may be the right fit, ask us.
Can you fix it while the plant keeps running?
Usually yes. Staged access, out of hours work and temporary propping let most assets keep operating through the repair.
How long will the repair last?
Done properly, decades. The honest answer depends on whether the cause is treated, which is why we push testing and, where needed, cathodic protection rather than patch and hope.
